October 23 has always been special for Malaika Arora as the actress celebrates her birthday on that day. And this year too, she made sure to celebrate her birthday in a small but memorable way. She headed out to celebrate her special day with son Arhaan Khan. The mother-son duo was clicked outside their Bandra residence heading for Malaika's birthday bash in the same suburb. Malaika stunned the paparazzi (like always) in her bright orange pantsuit and colourful mask, while Arhaan looked dapper in his plaid black and white shirt and blue jeans, which he paired with a black cap.

The birthday girl received tons of love from her close friends on social media. Her squad, including sister Amrita Arora Ladak, besties Kareena and Karisma Kapoor, and beau Arjun Kapoor send her the cutest wishes on Instagram. Arjun Kapoor shared a photo of ladylove Malaika on his Insta story and wrote, "Happy birthday my fool"

Sister Amrita Arora, too, shared a few photos with the birthday girl on Instagram. One of them is a photo with Malaika and husband Shakeel Ladak. Amrita also shared a loving post wishing her elder sister a happy birthday. She wrote, "Yo mimi @malaikaaroraofficial it's time to get ok, or I'm coming for ya Love you! Happppy birthday"

Karisma Kapoor, shared an Insta story that shows the two of them in a candid moment cleaning a sofa! Kareena Kapoor Khan, shared a photo and wrote, "Happy birthday darling Malla... May we keep enjoying our meals and our girlie nights together while twinning in our t-shirts forever..."

On the personal front, Malaika recently recovered from coronavirus. She shared that she feels blessed to have overcome Covid-19 with minimum pain. On September 7, Malaika had confirmed that she had tested positive for COVID-19, after speculative reports did the rounds that she had contracted the virus. She shared the news officially on Instagram. Revealing that she has been infected by the virus, she added that she is asymptomatic and is quarantined at home. Arjun Kapoor was also infected by the deadly virus, but thankfully recovered soon.

After a few weeks in isolation, they both tested negative. Malaika took to Instagram to give a health update to fans and followers. “M finally out of my room after so many days days, it feels like an outing in itself... I feel so blessed to have overcome this virus with minimum pain and discomfort. A big thanks to my doctors for their medical guidance, to BMC for making this process hassle-free, to my family for their immeasurable support and to all my friends, neighbours and fans for all their good wishes and the strength that I got from your messages and support (sic),” she wrote alongside her photograph.

At the time, she was judging a dance-based reality show, India's Best Dancer. She was replaced by Nora Fatehi. The actress has successfully defeated the virus and returned to judging the show.
