Himesh Reshammiya along with wife Sonia Kapoor was spotted at Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. After unveiling the teaser of Happy Hardy And Heer on Guru Purnima, Himesh unveiled his film's first song, Heeriye, to coincide with his 46th birthday. Himesh Reshammiya in a chat with mid-day said, "The decision was taken by producers Deepshika Deshmukh and Sabita Manakchand. Keeping in mind that the album is a musical with eight melodious tracks, we wanted to give each number enough time [to grow on listeners]. In the film, songs plays a pivotal role in moving the story forward. So, before we come out with the dialogue promo via the trailer, we wanted to introduce the characters through its music."

Heeriye is a "raag-based melody with a Sufi touch". The composer-actor created it during a trip to Kanpur. "It will have an emotional connect with anyone who is in love," said Himesh Reshammiya. To weave magic into the track, Reshammiya sought the support of Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. "We have had a track record of [creating] blockbusters."

Happy Hardy and Heer will feature actor composer Himesh Reshammiya first time in two characters. One of an NRI businessman Harshvardhan Bhatt (Hardy) from London and the other, a Sardar from Punjab, Harpreet Singh Lamba (Happy) who travels to Europe with his beloved Heer Randhawa, played by Sonia Mann. Touted to be a romantic-musical, Happy Hardy and Heer is produced by Deepshikha Deshmukh and Sabita Manakchand and is directed by choreographer-turned-director Raka. Himesh is playing a Gujarati NRI and a Sardarji, whether it's a double role or not will be revealed later.

Himesh Reshammiya tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Sonia Kapoor in a low-key ceremony on May 10, 2018. The nuptials, held at his Lokhandwala residence, was attended by family members and Swaym, Reshammiya's son from his previous marriage.

Himesh Reshammiya and Sonia Kapoor's wedding was a close-knit affair with just close family and friends, including Himesh's parents and his son Swaym. This is Himesh Reshammiya's second marriage with Sonia Kapoor after his divorce with ex-wife Komal. They had filed for divorce in 2016 and was granted the divorce on June 07, 2017.
