Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Panga is a story about hope and aspirations, it tells the tale of a woman who wants to come back to the Kabaddi field despite being 32 years old.

Kangana Ranaut, in a media interaction, said, "There was no panga. The director left the film [and] I completed it. It was just that. If I helped my producer [and] studio, toh uss cheez ke liye mera sammaan hona chahiye."

In picture: Abhimanyu Dassani posed for the shutterbugs as he attended the special screening of Panga, hosted in Juhu.

Kangana further added, "People should see me [as] responsible. I got many brickbats and I am shocked. Being an actor on set is the most privileged job. [Being] a director, I am sorry to say, and even Ashwiny will agree, is not as valued as it should be."

In picture: Tahira Kashyap also attended the special screening at her casual best.

"Filmmakers in our country, unlike America, are de-valued. There is a part of me that wants to pursue film-making, but, it is a privilege to be an actor on the set," Kangana Ranaut continued.

Speaking about the director of the movie, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari disagreed about Kangana Ranaut's interference in the movie in an interview with mid-day. "Before we started shooting, Kangana had told me that such rumours would surface, and they did."

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari further added, "Certain circumstances [compel] a person to put on a mask so that they can deal with them. But if one takes off the mask, every person is human."

In picture: Jackky Bhagnani was also snapped by the paparazzi at the special screening of Panga.

"Kangana has a pure heart. She is an intelligent actor. She had her inputs and we all were open to feedback; there was never an ego clash," continued Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.

In picture: Varun Sharma was all smiles as he attended the special show of Panga.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari also mentioned, "In fact, she never came near the monitor, except when she was shooting for the kabbadi scenes. Panga is my vision, and the entire team has sailed along with me."

In picture: Wardha Nadiadwala opted for a velvet black dress for the special show.

"I was 100 per cent sure about Kangana as she is like a chameleon. [There are two different personalities] on and off-screen. She imbibes the character so deeply that after a point of time, you forget it's Kangana in front of the camera," added the director.

In picture: Atul Kasbekar showed up in casual attire at the special show of Panga.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari concluded, "At home, we maintain a simple lifestyle and that reflects in my films. I like filtering things and saying the bare minimum; you don't have to complicate something to make your point."

In picture: Neeta Lulla also attended the special screening Kangana Ranaut and Jassie Gill-starrer.

Jayantilal Gada was all smiles when snapped at the special show of Panga.
