Sunny Deol turned a year younger on October 19, 2020. While he kept the birthday a low key affair, looking at the pandemic situation; people in his office surprised him with a birthday cake on his 64th birthday. He later posted the picture with the cake on his Instagram.

Sunny Deol made his Bollywood debut in 1983 with Betaab and went on to do films like Arjun, Tridev, Vishwatma, Ghayal, Damini, Ghatak, Darr, Jeet, Ziddi, Border, and Gadar.

Sunny Deol younger son Rajvir Deol also attended the birthday celebrations at their recording studio in Juhu. Sunny's elder son Karan Deol made his Bollywood debut last year with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.

Veteran actor Dharmendra too attended the birthday celebrations of Sunny Deol at their recording studio. Taking it to Twitter, veteran actor Dharmendra in a tweet (translated), wrote, " Love you Jelly, live on. You are the voice of my soul." He also shared a series of photos from the celebrations and wrote, "With his great blessingFolded hands...... your soulful good wishes... Sunny’s BIRTHDAY Birthday cake CELEBRATIONS Deol style Folded hands [sic]."

Dharmendra also tweeted, "Love Red heart you all, for your loving Smiling face with 3 hearts response..... your good wishes on Sunny's Birthday Birthday cake Friends, you are always close to our heart Red heart ..........khushi mein.....aai to intiha ho gai tweets ki......bore ho gaiye hoon ge aap......Ab kuchh din chup rahon ga .... [sic]"

Bobby Deol also attended brother Sunny's birthday celebrations at their recording studio and office in Juhu.

Bobby Deol took his Instagram to wish his brother Sunny and wrote, "Happy birthday to the greatest soul! A brother! A Father! A Friend! [sic]"
