Deepika Padukone showed off her chic side in a black and red outfit. She opted for a sweater dress, paired with a floral trenchcoat for the promotional event.
Deepika Padukone, who turned 34 on December 7, celebrated her special day along with acid attack survivors in Delhi.
Speaking of Chhapaak, the film is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, who at 15 was attacked by a spurned lover in 2005. Her attacker, a 32-year old man, was an acquaintance of her family.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone's KA Production, Meghna Gulzar and Govind Singh Sandhu's Mriga Films, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak is set to hit theatres on January 10, 2020.
Speaking about her professional journey, Deepika Padukone shared on a talk show, "I don't expect myself to be 101 per cent all the time. You got to acknowledge the fact that your body and mind are going to go through different phases. Eventually, it's all about how you're feeling and you don't try to pretend to feel what you're not going through."
Deepika feels her journey in the industry is about a "lot of learning." She said, "I grew up in a sports family and making a shift from that upbringing to move into an industry where all I had was passion, hard work and discipline."
Deepika Padukone further added, " I don't know if I had the understanding or talent but from there to now it has been an evolution of constantly looking, learning, observing and making mistakes along the way. I'm constantly evolving and I've learnt the most through the movies I've done or characters I've played."
