The launch was for Parikshit Sahni's book on his father's life titled 'The Non-Conformist: Memories Of My Father Balraj Sahni'.

Pankaj Udhas greeted actor and now author Parikshit Sahni at the event. Pankaj Udhas later tweeted his experience of attending the event; he wrote, "A wonderful evening to launch the book Non-Conformist by veteran actor Shri Parikshit Sahni. An emotional account of his memoirs about his legendary actor father published by Penguin with a wonderful chat with Mr Bachchan and Shri Parikshit Sahni by Shri Anil Dharkar."

Deepti Naval and Parikshit Sahni were clicked discussing the book. Balraj Sahni was a widely admired actor known for films like Dharti Ke Lal, Do Bigha Zameen, Kabuliwala and Garam Hawa.
