25 years of Hum Aapke Hain Koun: Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan at special screening

Hum Aapke Hain Koun clocked 25 years on August 5, and on the occasion, a special screening of the film was held at Liberty Cinema in Mumbai, where the film premiered in 1994. Everyone's favourite Bollywood romantic-comedy-drama Hum Aapke Hain Koun (HAHK) recently completed 25 years. Doesn't it feel like the movie just released yesterday? On this special occasion, a screening of the film was held at Liberty Cinema, Mumbai, where the movie premiered in 1994. (All pictures: Yogen Shah, Pallav Paliwal)

Present at the screening was the leading lady of the movie, Madhuri Dixit-Nene. The actress looked gorgeous as ever in a black printed sari paired with a pink sari blouse. Madhuri kept her look simple with loose, silky hair and rosy makeup. Madhuri had taken to social media to share a sweet post where she remembered her character Nisha from the film. She wrote, "Recreating the moments of Hum Aapke Hain Koun on its 25th anniversary! This movie has given me memories that I can never forget. Nisha will always hold a special place in my heart."

Also present was the 'devar deewana' Salman Khan, who played Madhuri's love interest in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. 

Salman Khan looked stylish in a pair of black trousers paired with a royal blue shirt and his signature bracelet. Pictured here is Sallu Bhai with a little fan.

Director of HAHK, Sooraj Barjatya, was also spotted at the screening. Hum Aapke Hain Koun is the highest-grossing Indian film of the 1990s and also one of the highest-earning Bollywood films ever. Some other films from Barjatya's repertoire as a director include Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, and recently, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Mohnish Bahl, who played Rajesh Nath, Salman's older brother, attended the special screening with his wife Ekta and younger daughter Krishaa. 

Mohnish Bahl's elder daughter, actress Pranutan, was also clicked at the screening. Pranutan made her Bollywood debut with the 2019 film Notebook opposite debutant Zaheer Iqbal. Pranutan looked lovely in a blue printed lehenga.

Renuka Shahane, who played Salman's lovable bhabhi and Madhuri's elder sister in HAHK, attended the screening with her husband, actor Ashutosh Rana. 

Renuka looked pretty as always in a red and green sari. She was last seen in the 2018 Marathi film Bucket List, which starred Madhuri Dixit-Nene. Renuka Shahane expressed her gratitude to director Sooraj Barjatya with a tweet that read, "Gratitude to #SoorajBarjatya ji @rajshrifilms for giving me a once in a lifetime role in a once in a lifetime film. Thank you to the ever-increasing audience of cinema-goers for showering their love & blessings on this big-hearted family film #25YearsOfHAHK"

Satish Shah who played 'Doctor' in the film also attended the special screening with his wife Madhu. 

Veteran actress Bindu, who played Bhagwanti aka Mami in HAHK, attended the screening with her husband.
