Jalta hai jiya mera (Zakhmee, 1975)

Crooned by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle, this Bappi Lahiri composition was filmed on Reena Roy and Rakesh Roshan.

Bambai se aaya mera dost (Aap Ki Khatir, 1977)

The song sung by Bappi da was featured on an ensemble cast including Helen, Vinod Khanna, Asrani, Raza Murad, and Rekha.

Raat baaki, baat baaki (Namak Halaal, 1982)

For this song, Parveen Babi wanted a vamp-like look. She explored several options. The entire album was a blockbuster.

Inteha ho gayi (Sharaabi, 1984)

The film, which was loosely inspired by the 1981 movie Arthur, was a blockbuster, and so were the songs. In fact, Bappi Lahiri won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for this album.

Dil main ho tum (Satyamev Jayate, 1987)

Composed and sung by Bappi da, the song was penned by Farooq Qaisar. It is one of Vinod Khanna's lesser known works.

Humko aaj kal hai intezaar (Sailaab, 1990)

This Madhuri Dixit-Nene number was choreographed by Saroj Khan and is regarded as the best aspect of the film, Sailaab, also starring Aditya Pancholi.

Chalte chalte mere geet (Chalte Chalte, 1976)

Touted as one of the most romantic songs in Bollywood, the film Chalte Chalte showcased actor Vishal Anand in a double role.

Yaad aa raha hai (Disco Dancer, 1982)

The song, composed and sung by Bappi da, featuring Mithun Chakraborty, is often described as the disco anthem and went on to become his most popular song.

Yaar bina chain kahan re (Saaheb, 1985)

The song was filmed on a dream sequence between Anil Kapoor and Amrita Singh. It was later remixed for the makers of Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.

Tamma tamma loge (Thanedaar, 1990)

This Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Sanjay Dutt number was rumoured to be inspired by Mori Kante's tracks. It was remixed for Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Ooh la la (The Dirty Picture, 2011)

Actors Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah's performance in this song cannot leave one's memory. Bappi da's rendition made the number evergreen.
