Lin Laishram
Lin Laishram is a name you have probably been hearing over and over again these past few days. There are recent reports of the actress tying the knot with fellow actor Randeep Hooda. But who is Lin? For starters, her full name is Linthoingambi 'Lin' Laishram. She is an Indian model, actress, and businesswoman who hails from Manipur.
It is reported that she was discovered by a modeling agency in Mumbai, India, from where she became a regular at fashion shows like India Fashion Week and New York Bridal Week and was also seen in print and TVCs in India and everywhere else.
Lin's first appearance in a movie was a cameo in Om Shanti Om. If you have sharp eyes and attention to detail, you will recall her being the makeup artist for 'Om' in a few scenes in the film. From there, she soon became the ambassador of the New York-based jewellery brand, Ozzoru Jewelry. Lin also proudly represented her state at Miss North East and won first runner-up in 2008.
Lin took the step to pursue acting in another way; she decided to head to New York, where she studied the art of acting while she modeled on the side. Soon after, she headed back to Mumbai, where she went on to perform in Mumbai's most prestigious theatres, like 'Prithvi Theatre', NCPA, and many more. To mark her return to movies, Lin played the character of Bembem in the 2014 National Award-winning movie 'Mary Kom' alongside Priyanka Chopra. She had also played parts in short films, like in Kenny Basumatry's short film. In the Indie film Umrika, directed by Prashant Nair, she played Prateik Babbar's wife. She also played the role of Mema in 'Rangoon', the period romantic drama that starred Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan.

Apart from acting, she pursued a career in jewelry by releasing a line called 'Shamoo Sana' in March 2017.
About the Randeep Hooda-Lin Laishram wedding, has managed to keep his personal space guarded from the media's constant attention. While he continues making headlines for his professional commitments, the actor is currently in the news for rumours of the wedding with Lin Laishram.
According to ETimes' report, Randeep and Lin are reportedly tying the knot in the second half of November. A source close to the development informed the publication, "It is going to be an intimate wedding with only their close friends and family in attendance. It won't take place in Mumbai. Randeep is a private person, and he did not want media attention for the wedding. The idea is to announce the wedding once it's done."
