Wedded bliss! Viraf Patell shares wedding pictures; talks about getting married to Saloni Khanna amid pandemic

On Thursday, Naamkaran and Ek Boond Ishq actor Viraf Patel tied the knot with Saloni Khanna. The couple opted for a court wedding due to the prevailing situation with few friends in attendance. The two, who met on the set of Heartbreak Hotel (2019), got engaged in February.

"A wedding was something that we have been meaning to do before the lockdown began last year. Then we waited for things to ease out and planned this wedding much before the second wave took us by surprise. As the second wave kicked in stronger, we decided to go ahead with the deed but started eliminating all that we had planned. Eventually it was stripped down to a point where had to ask even our respective parents and families to not turn up and stay safe as they had not had their second jab," said Viraf Patell.

Viraf had a rather unique way to even announce his wedding on social media. He shared five pictures from his wedding and captioned each of them with an interesting narrative.

He started with - "Met her over couple of years back"

His second post read: "On her first visit she sat on this window and it struck me she could be the one. I tried to charm her with my chai"

Next post read, "Then one day she said yes"

In another quirky post, he wrote, "We fixed some things between us, for us but the #pandemic had other plans"

And the last, but not the least, he wrote, finally, "And then we decided to let nature take its own course, while we found ours"

Having worked in popular television shows such as Mahi Way, Kismat, and Naamkarann amongst others, Viraf recently made his big-screen debut in director Amin Hajee's film Koi Jaane Na. The film also had a cameo by actor Aamir Khan.
