War has set the box office on fire on its extended first week as it collected a record-smashing Rs 238.35 crore nett! On a normal working Thursday, the film again performed brilliantly as it recorded Rs 9.80 crore net on reduced ticket rates (Hindi - Rs 9.25 Cr and Tamil and Telugu - Rs 0.55 Cr)!
Starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor, the total collections of this action spectacle already makes it a blockbuster! WAR also smashed five all-time records in the history of Hindi cinema in its extended first week.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared these figures on his Twitter account. Here's what he wrote: "#War has a fantabulous 'extended' Week 1... Fifth #Hindi film to hit Rs 200 cr mark in 'Week 1' / 'Extended Week 1'... Biggest opener for #HrithikRoshan, #TigerShroff and #YRF [crosses #Sultan]... Week 2 pivotal, will give an idea of its 'lifetime biz' [sic]"
