Exciting news seems to be on the horizon for Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and her husband, Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli. According to sources from Hindustan Times (HT), the couple is reportedly expecting their second child, with Anushka possibly in the second trimester of her pregnancy.
Amidst these rumours, it has been reported that Virat Kohli took a detour from Guwahati to Mumbai and was absent from the squad that arrived at Trivandrum Domestic Airport for its ODI World Cup warm-up fixture against the Netherlands on Sunday.
Reportedly, Kohli had sought permission from the team management and left for Mumbai due to a personal emergency. A source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed this development to Cricbuzz, mentioning that Kohli is expected to rejoin the team on Monday.
This change in Kohli's travel plans coincides with ongoing rumours about the pregnancy of his wife, Anushka Sharma. According to HT, "Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage." The couple already shares the joy of parenthood with their daughter, Vamika, who was born in January 2021.

Since the birth of their daughter Vamika, Anushka and Virat have been notably cautious about shielding her from public scrutiny. They have refrained from sharing images of her face on social media platforms.
Observers have noted that Anushka Sharma has been conspicuously absent from public events and paparazzi sightings in Mumbai recently. This deliberate low profile seems to be an effort to avoid unnecessary speculation about her pregnancy. Additionally, it has been observed that Anushka isn't accompanying Virat Kohli on his cricket tours or attending his matches as she typically would.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2017 in a private ceremony in Italy, continues to be the focus of public fascination and admiration. Fans and well-wishers eagerly await the official announcement of this wonderful news and send their warmest congratulations to the couple on this special occasion.
