A blurry video of Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma at a New year party had gone viral on social media with netizens calling them the new couple in B-Town. In the said video, they reportedly got cosy as they ushered the new year. Since then, the two have been spotted together in the city at multiple occasions. Now for the first time, the 'Darlings' star Vijay Varma has addressed the rumours.
Vijay was reacting to a news report that said the two had gone on a lunch date on January 17. The articles was also accompanied with pictures of the two stepping out of their car and heading towards a restaurant. Responding to the report in a hilarious way, Vijay shared the picture of his real lunch date. He shared a picture with filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh and is seen pointing at him in the picture. The two are currently working on the film 'Devotion of Suspect X' that also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.
"My lunch date @sujoy_g," he captioned the post.
Fans found the post hilarious and took the comment section appreciating the actor's sense of humour.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Vijay Varma gave a stunning performance as Hamza in 'Darlings'. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Roshan Mathew. Vijay played a negative character in teh film. While the audience hated his character, he was loved for his believable performance. He will next be seen in 'The Devotion of Suspect X'. Reportedly, he will also be seen in 'Lust Stories 2' alongside Tamannaah Bhatia.
Tamannaah, on the other hand, had a good year with the release of Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Babli Bouncer', 'Plan A Plan B' with Riteish Deshmukh, and Telugu films 'F3: Fun and Frustration' and 'Gurthunda Seethakalam'. She will next be seen in Telugu film 'Bhola Shankar' and also has a Hindi film 'Bole Chudiyan' with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She has also signed her first Malayalam film titled 'Bandra' with Dileep and has started shoot for the same.
