Kalki Koechlin welcomed her first child, a daughter, with beau Guy Hershberg, in February last year. The couple named their baby girl Sappho, after an ancient Greek poet.

The Margarita with a Straw actress recently shared a video of her singing a melodious Hebrew lullaby on a ukulele for her little darling while stuck in traffic. Sharing the video on Instagram, Kalki wrote, "Been a long time since I posted one of these... Laila Laila Mistaqelette."

Previously, Kalki Koechlin has shared videos of her singing African, Tamil, and Portuguese lullabies for Sappho.

Talking about giving birth to Sappho, Kalki once revealed on social media that she was in labour for 17 hours. She wrote, "So thankful to the whole team at Tulip Women's Care and to my to doctors @docsheetalsabharwal and @drrvpunjabi who simply refused to give up on me even when after 17 hours I was so tired I begged them to take the baby out any way they could and they said no, you've come this far and you're going to have your natural water birth, and an hour later Sappho was born. You guys are miracle workers!"

On the work front, Kalki Koechlin was last seen in the Tamil film Paava Kadhaigal in 2020, and the web series Bhram in 2019.
