Vicky Kaushal shares his 'magic recipe': Would call Katrina Kaif before every shot of Sam Bahadur

The launch of Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur trailer in Delhi seemed to be a fun affair. With director Meghna Gulzar and actresses Sanya Malhotra-Fatima Sana Shaikh in attendance with Vicky, the intriguing trailer was unveiled. During the press conference with the Delhi media, the actor, who plays the titular role, engaged in a fun conversation.

When a reporter asked Vicky about the process that went behind preparing for Sam Bahadur, the actor joked that he would call Katrina Kaif, his wife, for pep talk before every shot. He jokingly said, "Ek magic recipe maine bataya nahin apne prep ke bare har shot se pehle main phone karta tha fir mujhe vo pep talk deti thi aur fir main vo shot mein jata tha (I've not shared one magic recipe with you about the prep. I would call her before every shot, and she would give me a pep talk, then I'll go for the shot)." The media cracked up and laughed at the fun statement.

In previous statements, Vicky never missed out on lavishing praise on Katrina. In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, he opened up about the merits and demerits of marrying an actress. The actor said, "One pro would be that we understand our schedules aren't nine-to-five, there are no Sundays, there are no weekdays or weekends. So, that understanding is there. The con is that sometimes, you are both shooting for a film and it's going non-stop, and sometimes a month can pass without us having spent time with each other. Sometimes, I can have day shoots and she can have night shoots, so when I return from work she leaves, and we don't get any time with each other despite living under the same roof."

While talking about dealing with routine fights and arguments with Katrina, Vicky shared, "Sometimes I admit when it's not my mistake also. Drama kisse chahiye yaar, admit karke life simple ho jaati hai (Who needs the drama, owning up makes life simpler)."

Vicky and Katrina kept their relationship guarded from the media's constant attention. They tied the knot on December 9, 2021, in Rajasthan in the presence of their close friends and family members.
