If there is one film that the audience is curious about, it's Shraddha Kapoor's and Rajkummar Rao's âStree 2'. The movie, which will delve into the story and answer the question of 'who is the real Stree?' will soon be released in theatres. Now, reports suggest that Stree 2 will have a crossover with Varun Dhawan reprising his role as Bhediya to make a cameo appearance in Shraddha Kapoor starrer. Reportedly 'Stree 2' will feature a special appearance from our own âBhediya,' Varun Dhawan.
According to reports from Bollywood Hungama, Varun has recently shot for his cameo in director Amar Kaushik's horror comedy, which will set the stage for âBhediya 2'. "Bhediya is a character close to Varun Dhawan's heart and his appearance as Bhediya in Stree 2 will set things up for Bhediya 2. He had allotted two days to his producer friend, Dinesh Vijan and has already shot for a hilarious yet impactful cameo with Shraddha Kapoor," a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Earlier, we at midday revealed that director Amar Kaushik is busy with the post-production of Stree 2, the sequel to Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's 2018 horror comedy. Meanwhile, a source claimed that as soon as Stree 2 reaches the finish line, the filmmaker will focus on the script of Bhediya 2, which will see Varun Dhawan reprise his role of a shape-shifting werewolf.
"Bhediya was always envisioned as a franchise. It's a part of producer Dinesh Vijan's horror comedy universe. After Stree 2 is delivered to the studio by March, Amar and Niren will sit on the script of Bhediya 2 and have the final draft ready by mid-2024," says a source. The film is expected to roll later this year.
