Abhishek Bachchan urged people to keep their masks on and sent everyone a virtual hug, saying that "in times like these, one needs it."

A section of netizens felt he needed to do more. "People are dying without oxygen and beds," wrote a Twitter user. "Just because I don't put it on social media doesn't mean that I'm not doing anything," replied Bachchan, and added, "Spreading love can also help."
Another one tweeted, "Just an idea Abhishek ji, please amplify most critical requests for oxygen and hospitalisation", to which AB replied, "I have been"
Abhishek's tweet came at a time when India reported more than 3 lakh Covid cases for the fourth consecutive day. The country logged a total of 3,49,691 Covid cases and 2,767 deaths on Saturday, a new single-day high since the pandemic began last year, according to the health ministry's data released on Sunday.
