Twinkle Khanna, who has recently completed her higher studies, has become an inspiration for several women who want to pursue their degrees and are in their 50s. The actress, who has been vocal about her journey, shared an amusing incident that happened after she got accepted to the university.
In a conversation with Hello magazine, Twinkle shared that it was horrifying for her to find out that both she and her son Aarav got selected at the same university. After Twinkle Khanna and son Aarav's surprising admission the duo made a hilarious pact to pretend like they don't know each other. The actress said, "Strangely, my son Aarav and I had applied to the same college since we were both studying liberal arts. When we found out we were accepted to the same university, we were horrified at the thought of being on campus together. We made a pact that we would pretend not to know each other and hang out with our respective friends. Luckily, he got his first choice and opted for that university."
After her graduation, Akshay Kumar's wife too took to her Instagram account to share her feelings. The actress while dropping a video of the graduation ceremony wrote, "And it's here. Graduation day. My first day at Goldsmiths feels like it was both yesterday and years ago. A sunny day, a pretty sari, and having my family with me make this day even more perfect than I ever imagined. There comes a stage when the easiest way to grow is horizontally, but we have to push ourselves to grow in myriad other ways. Agree? Disagree?"
Earlier when she finished her master she took to her account and dropped a video of herself with a long note. A part of her note reads, "For younger students, their parents organise logistics. For people on my stage we are the organisers. I applied to five universities, got rejected by one, but got my first choice. Then, I had to do the tough bits: getting my daughter to move, not just schools but countries; arranging my work in a way that I can manage virtually and fly down repeatedly; working on my book, finding a place to live, doctors, plumbers, delivery apps, and making friends in a new city. It's all been overwhelming sometimes."
