Actress Triptii Dimri, who garnered fame as Zoya in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial âAnimal', turns 30 on February 23 (today). She has been labelled as a âNational Crush', courtesy of her bold scenes in the film. Those who have watched the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer are aware of the intimate sequence as well as the actress becoming the lead in the second installment. However, if one can go past the skin show and hickeys arranged on Triptii in this film, one will come across her versatility as an actor.
Triptii commenced her acting journey with 'Poster Boys' in 2017, but it was a year later that she bagged a lead role in the film 'Laila Majnu' opposite Avinash Tiwary. The emotional plotline of this celluloid put her in the spotlight for the kind of response she could evoke with her presence on screen. Although the film wasn't a commercial success, it garnered a dedicated fanbase that continues to rave about it.

Triptii and Avinash reunited in Netflix's Bulbbul produced by Anushka Sharma and Karnesh Ssharma. While she is persistently dragged for her alleged relationship with the latter. Her job as an artist outweighs the headlines on the personal front. Since the film was released during the pandemic, it gave Triptii the fame she truly deserved for an impeccable performance thanks to OTT. Her transition from a naive girl to a strong woman who seeks revenge on those who wronged her can easily be marked as one of her best works that will go down in history.
She went on to wow again with her role in Qala, a period psychological drama that marked the debut of late actor Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan. Once again, Triptii hit the bull's eye with her portrayal of a mentally disturbed, attention-seeking artist who yearns for approval from her mother.
Today, Triptii is chased by the paparazzi, being called "Bhabhi 2" on social media, all for her mediocre role in âAnimal'. Maybe it's time to go back and re-watch her earlier films to understand that she's more than just a side-chick to ogle.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Triptii has a line-up of films such as 'Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam', 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video', and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'.
