Katrina Kaif is currently riding high on the success of her recently released film Tiger 3, opposite Salman Khan. The film has been receiving a lot of love from the audience.
The YRF spy drama collected a total of Rs 188.25 crore nett in India and crossed 300 crores gross worldwide in just 5 days. Talking about how the family reacted after watching the thriller film, Katrina shared with India Today that her father-in-law was the proudest after watching the movie.
The actress shared, "The love and support I have got from my family is just so special. Sham ji, my father-in-law, is a very senior action director, so he was the happiest to hear praises for Zoya's action scenes. He said, 'You have made me very proud. Everyone is saying you do action so well'. So that was really special for me. Vicky also loved the film and he said that Zoya's character was well presented in the film. It didn't matter if it was a particular actor, but the way the character had a graph that stayed constant throughout the film, was very interesting."
'Tiger 3' opened to Rs 43 crore on opening day and saw a rise in collection on Monday with Rs 58 cr. On day 3, it managed to collect Rs 43.50 crore. However, the film saw over a 50 per cent dip in collections on Wednesday, collecting Rs 20.5 cr. Trade analysts feel the India vs New Zealand World Cup semi-final played a role in the low ticket sales. The film is likely to see a major dip on coming Sunday as well owing to the World Cup final between India and Australia.
