Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Tiger 3 is a week away and the anticipation is at an all-time high. Multiplex chains across the country have opened pre-booking windows for the audience. Given the fact that the spy-thriller is one of the most awaited films and that too during the festive period, the tickets might burn a hole in the pocket.
Owing to the humongous demand, several theatres in metro cities like Mumbai are gearing up to open their gates as early as 6 a.m. According to the data available on BookMyShow at the time of publishing, the audience will get a chance to watch the film on Diwali till 11.55 p.m. While there are fewer IMAX shows in the city as compared to 2D, the rates for the former are touching the sky.
The audience keen on watching Tiger 3 at IMAX screens in Mumbai has to spend a huge amount as the price of a ticket varies between Rs. 400 to Rs. 1,600. Shows at premium theatres in Central Mumbai can go up to Rs. 2,100.
The advance booking for the film was opened a week before its release i.e yesterday. After the first week trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his X account and dropped the report of the Salman starrer's day 1 collection. According to him, a total of 56100 tickets were sold yesterday. Adarsh wrote, "#Xclusiv⦠#Tiger3 advance booking status at 'national chains'⦠Note: [Sunday] Day 1 biz⦠#PVRInox: 47,000 #Cinepolis: 9,100 Total: 56,100 tickets sold⦠7 days to release."
Tiger 3 is the fifth film in the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe which follows the events of Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan. The film also stars Emraan Hashmi and it is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Shah Rukh Khan will be making a special appearance in the film as Pathaan. Hrithik Roshan will reportedly make a special appearance as Kabir from War.
Tiger 3 will open in Hindi, Tamil dubbed and Telugu dubbed versions on November 12.
