Tadap's latest song 'Tere Siva Jag Mein,' featuring debutant Ahan Shetty along with Tara Sutaria has been creating quite some buzz. The party number is sung by Shilpa Rao and Darshan Raval and composed by Pritam who has also lent his voice to the song. Shilpa speaks to mid-day.com about all that went into making the fun dance number!

What is it that you liked most about 'Tere Siva Jag Mein' from Tadap?
Well, the most beautiful thing about this song is the melody itself and I think it's something that really draws you towards it. It's sung in Raag Yaman, that's one of my favourite Raag and I feel that's like a cherry on the cake. The lyrics are so simple and yet so relatable to everyone, so these things attracted me towards this song.

You reunited with Pritam for this song...
It always starts with, Pritam has an idea or a vision for the song and in this case he wanted to blend a beautiful melodic structure into modern format which is very relatable and I think he did it so well with 'Tere Siva Jag Mein'. When you hear the song, it's quite groovy and people across genres can relate to it and I think that's a great quality of a song. It's so much fun when it's a new song and very different from the stuff I have done before. I love to be in front of the mic and try out new things and put my mind to it. Also, Pritam was keen to try something new this time and I love this quality about him. He pushes you to do even better than what you can think and I think that's what I love about doing these music recordings.

How was it teaming up with Darshan Raval and your thoughts about him as an artiste?
Well, Darshan has a huge youth fanbase and people really love him. I have heard some of his music before and it was great to jam with him on this one. I really wish him all the best in all the music he does in the future.

Your thoughts about Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria's chemistry in the film?
It's a very feel-good video showcasing their great chemistry and looks like they had a great time shooting this. I am looking forward to this one and I wish both of them all the best. Also, it's Ahaan's first film, so I wish him a great career ahead and looking forward for watching both of them.
