Producer Anand Pandit backs Ssingh's claims when he says, "Mahesh had other commitments. So, we had to let him go. There is no dispute, or any other problem. It was purely a professional decision." Adding that the team is unwilling to defer the release, he says, "We've already announced, through mid-day, that the film will release on May 26, 2023, on the occasion of the revolutionary‘s 140th birth anniversary. That is non-negotiable. Savarkar was one of the leading heroes of India's fight for Independence. He didn't get justice in real life. I don't think it would be right if he doesn't get justice in reel life."
