Sushmita Sen celebrates 28 years of being Miss Universe with former boyfriend Rohman Shawl, family and friends

Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe on May 21, 1994. On its 28th anniversary, she celebrated the occasion with former boyfriend Rohman Shawl, friends and family.

The actress, along with a picture, penned a note on her Instagram account that read- "In the company of love, laughter, family & friends…it couldn't have been better!!!"

Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl were in a relationship for quite some time and fans and media were speculating a wedding on the cards. However, the actress has now made a shocking revelation that the couple has parted ways. The confirmation happened after rumours of separation. The actress wrote- "We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over…the love remains!"

Last year, the actress celebrated her 46th birthday and also underwent a surgery. She said in her Instagram post that she underwent a surgery on November 16 and is getting better with time. "Letting you in on a little secret....I completed AARYA 2 and then travelled to address my health...had a successful surgery on 16th Nov and I am healing marvellously every passing day...in this beautiful place!!! I feel the goodness of all your energies and the strength of your love!!! Keep it coming," she wrote.

The actor concluded her caption by celebrating the new beginnings of her life. "My 46th birthday marks a healthy new beginning, also sports a new look. lots to look forward to...after all, the greatest gift is being ALIVE!!! #gratitude #love #tightesthug. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! #duggadugga," she signed off. The post was flooded with likes and love-filled comments.
