Growing up together:

On her wedding:
Shweta said that she regretted leaving her brother behind and settling in USA after her marriage. "As I prepared to leave, Bhai hugged me tightly, tears streaming down our faces. It was a heartbreaking moment - we knew we wouldn't be living together anymore, that we wouldn't have the luxury of seeing each other as much as we used to," Shweta wrote.
Shweta's last visit to Sushant:
Shweta revealed that Sushant got busy with his career in Bollywood and she with her life in the USA. However, she would visit him annually from 2014 to 2017. She could not come to India in 2018 and 2019.
On getting the unfortunate news:
Shweta revaled that it was the night of June 13, 2020 in the USA when her husband broke the news to her. "A chill ran down my spine and I lay in bed paralysed. I didn't scream. I didn't cry. By conviction of my practice, I fell into a space that sucked all the shock that my body and mind were going through," she wrote.
Missing SSR's cremation:
Owing to the pandemic, Shweta could not reach India on time for Sushant's funeral. "The realization that I would not be able to see him for the last time and bid him a proper farewell left me feeling angry and frustrated. There was no closure for me."
