Sunny Deol is still enjoying the grand success of his recently released film 'Gadar 2.' Deol has no plans to go small, as there are reports doing rounds that the actor will be collaborating with the makers of 'Pushpa.' According to reports in Hindustan Times, the actor is planning another patriotic film backed by the reputed filmmakers of 'Pushpa.' As per the report, after the success of 'Gadar 2,' Sunny has received offers for several scripts, as the producers have realized his worth and demand. However, he is not in a hurry and is taking his time to sign the right scripts.
As per the source quoted in the publication "With an intention to widen his audience base, Sunny has signed a project with Mythri Movie Makers, who are behind the Pushpa franchise. After finalizing the actor, the makers are in talks with director Kabir Khan to direct the project. He has shown interest in the project, but is yet to sign the dotted line."
The source shared information about the project, stating that the film's storyline is reported to be based on a patriotic theme. "It's because they want to cash in on the buzz and success of Gadar 2, and Sunny wanted to expand his base, which is why he signed a pan-India film," a source shared.
The source further shared, "Other things about the story and screenplay are being finalized along with several discussions with the director, following which a direction will be finalized. That being said, it will be a patriotic film, with themes around India at the core."

For the unversed, Sunny Deol's next film, 'Lahore 1947,' based on Asghar Wajahat's critically acclaimed Punjabi play, will go into production around December or January. Sunny Deol's next film will be set in 1947, the year India gained independence and also the year India was divided into two countries before the British left the country. Aamir Khan, on Tuesday, took to social media to make the announcement. The superstar's production house will be backing the film.
Aamir Khan, while making the announcement about the film, shared, "I and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny and one of our favourite directors Raj Santoshi. The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching."
