Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Dot, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja and Yuvraj Menda are making headlines for the right reasons. They will be seen in Zoya Akhtar's film, The Archies, which will stream on Netflix later this year. From promotions to creating a buzz through social media presence, the hype for the youth rom-com is high.
Today, as the country is celebrating Independence Day, Suhana, Khushi, Agastya, Dot, Vedang, Mihir and Yuvraj turned volunteers at The Bombay Canteen to spread some cheer. They served food to the guests at the cafe. The Bombay Canteen called for a special 'Independence Day Daawat' and served regional Indian delicacies on a banana leaf. Suhana, Khushi, Agastya and others were seen participating by taking over the serving duties.

The team of The Archies posed together after fulfilling their duties at The Bombay Canteen. Suhana looked gorgeous in a white Lucknowi kurta, pyjama and dupatta. She completed her look with a mini black bindi and jhumkas. Khushi opted for a pastel peach-coloured outfit. Dot wore a black and white printed saree with a red border. Agastya, Vedang and Yuvraj wore white kurtas and pants. Mihir was dressed in an ivory-coloured jacket and a blue shirt.
The Bombay Canteen informed that "all proceeds from the Daawat go towards supporting a noble cause". On Instagram, the team wrote, "Hunger being a persistent issue, requires urgent attention. The proceeds will be converted into monthly ration kits with the help of JOSHConnect, a foundation that connects NGOs, beneficiaries, and donors across the world. With the help of volunteers, the ration will be distributed amongst 2000+ families in rural Maharashtra."
The Archies is produced by Zoya and Reema Kagti's Tiger Baby Films along with Sharad Devarajan's Graphic India and Archie Comics. The film is expected to premiere on Netflix in the last quarter of the year. The teaser was launched at Netflix's annual global fan event, Tudum in Brazil in June.
Suhana portrays Veronica Lodge, Khushi plays Betty Cooper, DOT plays Ethel Muggs, Mihir portrays Jughead Jones, Yuvraj is Dilton whereas the character of Reggie is portrayed by Vedang.
