Legendary footballer David Beckham is currently on a visit to India. After Gujarat, he reached Mumbai to attend the India vs. New Zealand Semi-Finals 2023. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took the opportunity to host David at her residence and make his stay in the city even more special.
On November 15, Sonam invited David and several Bollywood stars to her tastefully done and lavish Mumbai apartment. The actress was a perfect hostess as she introduced the footballer to the Indian culture. Apart from the royal decor, Sonam curated a menu comprising Indian delicacies. Giving the guests a unique welcome, she arranged for gajra bracelets which were tied to their wrists.
Sonam shared some pictures from the party and wrote, "It was such a pleasure showing you a small taste of India @davidbeckham @davidgardner Hope you loved India as much as India loves you! Thank you to my team that's helped me put it together."

The actress looked stunning for the grand yet intimate soirée. She wore a red saree and added a modern and contemporary touch to it by pairing the saree with a kaftan-style blouse. Sonam matched her outfit with a choker and statement earrings. She completed her look with a neat bun adorned with red roses.
Sonam's husband, Anand Ahuja, also posted a few pictures on Instagram and wrote, "the happiness you felt you gave it so freelyâ¦" @sonamkapoor - you're such an incredible host. The guests at the party also enjoyed the Semi-Finals match at home. Anand shared, "Just another vision of how sport brings us together! ..it was tense for a minute but @indiancricketteam clamped down and pulled through! Thanks @arjunkapoor for making sure we had a big TV set up showing the match during dinner just so people could sneak in and out to catch a glimpse of India's tremendous semi finals victory on the way to its fourth ODI World Cup Finals appearance!!"
