Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in Dostana 2?

If the trade buzz is to be believed, Dostana 2 is finally happening. Karan Johar's sequel to his 2008 production will star protégés Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor. Ever since the Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra-starrer released, there had been talk about its second outing.

Director Tarun Mansukhani had been working on it, but the project never took off. He then got busy with the animation flick, Koochie Koochie Hota Hai, which did not see the light of day either. Karan Johar has now found a suitable plot on which the script is being developed.

The director's next Bollywood outing, Drive, which features Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez is slated to release on March 2, next year; it is being touted as a Holi release. It took Tarun 10 years to hit the marquee again - a rather long and patient journey.
