Dunki`s special screening for the consulates of European countries
The influence of Rajkumar Hirani's film, Dunki, is evident globally. After a successful run in different countries, including India, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer is set to have a special screening for the consulates of European countries.
According to a source, "The consulates of the European countries are very keen to watch Dunki at the special screening as it talks about the illegal immigrants who take the donkey route to go abroad. The consulates are also eager to have a conversation with director Rajkumar Hirani post the screening." It is indeed an indelible impact that the Dunki story has on people around the world.
Furthermore, an earlier special screening of Dunki was held for consulates of various nations, considering their involvement in the visa and application processes. The film provides them with insights into the realities they typically deal with.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, when asked if the storyline of âMunnabhai Chale America' was similar to Shah Rukh Khan's âDunki', as both involved characters aspiring to go to America, Rajkumar Hirani responded by saying, "No, that was a completely different story. That story was basically in a nutshell about George Bush, who at that time had made some anti-Muslim statements. The whole story was these guys got very upset with it, and they said âhum jaate hain George Bush ko pakad ke India le kar aate hain (We'll go to America and bring George Bush to India)' so it was a story like that."
