Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan spoke about the universal appeal of cinema and how his fans will see him in a bald avatar for the first and the last time. The actor has been on a promotional spree ahead of the film's release on September 7.
At an event in Dubai, also attended by director Atlee and music composer Anirudh Ravichander, Khan performed with a dance troupe on the song, Zinda banda from the film. The actor shared that the film will offer something unique to all the people and he will be seen in "six to seven get-ups". "I'm even bald in the film, so that's something I am never ever going to be in my life. It was the first and the last time," he said.
Khan and the team also launched the Arabic version of the movie's popular song, Chaleya. "Jawan is special for us because somewhere we realised that entertainment should have no language, religion, caste, colour, creed or any kind of distinction. We should all come together to celebrate entertainment with our families and loved ones. This is the first step in that direction. So, we made the film in Tamil and Telugu, and [now], the attempt is also to have a song in Arabic," the actor, 57, said.
Jawan is billed as a high-octane action thriller that outlines the emotional journey of a man, who is set to rectify the wrongs in the society. The film, also starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance, has a lot of "outstanding action and great background music". He praised Atlee, saying, "We have a director who has made some of the biggest massy films. He is a monster and gangster of a filmmaker, and this is his first foray into Hindi cinema," he added. Actors Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover play pivotal roles in the action thriller.
