Condolences continue pouring in for Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar, who passed away early on Wednesday. Apart from social media tributes, many famous personalities arrived at the legendary actor's residence in the suburbs of Mumbai. Dharmendra, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar, visited Kumar's residence to pay last respects to the late veteran star.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son, Aditya Thackeray, Sharad Pawar were among others, who bid adieu and consoled Saira Banu on the passing away of Dilip Kumar.

Born as Mohammed Yusuf Khan, Dilip Kumar breathed his last on July 7, 2021, after prolonged bouts of illnesses, his family and aides said.

"With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab a few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return," said the thespian's longtime aide Faisal Farooqui in a tweet at daybreak.

Actor Dharmendra present at the actor's residence told ANI, "I have lost my brother today. I will live with his memories in my heart."

Dilip Kumar had been admitted to the P.D. Hinduja Hospital on June 30 for a variety of age-related health issues. Around 9.30 a.m., an ambulance carrying Dilip Kumar's body left for his home in Bandra west, with his wife of 55-years Saira Banu Khan accompanying along with some family members.
Uddhav Thackeray, calling Dilip Kumar's passing as a bright shining star which has fallen from the silver screen, said the legendary actor will forever remain in the hearts of his fans. "Dilip Kumar dominated the film industry with his diverse roles and versatile acting His career was one of the highlights of the Indian Cinema, and he will forever remain the hearts of his fans," the CM said.

He recalled how Dilip Kumar enjoyed a close relationship with his father, the late Hindu HridaySamrat Balasaheb Thackeray and both nourished an inseparable bond of arts.
Just two days ago, Saira Banu Khan had tweeted about his improving medical condition, since her husband had been keeping unwell recently. But that was a short-lived glimmer of hope and he passed away around dawn Wednesday, plunging Bollywood, his billions of fans, followers and admirers around the world into the gloom.
