Akshay Kumar shared a funny selfie with 'Selfiee' co-star Emraan Hashmi, ahead of the trailer release of their film. Akshay Kumar and Emraan are seeing posing at an event as they twin in black, with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's poster in the background.

Akshay added a witty caption to his post where he joked about matching their outfit to Aishwarya Rai's ‘kaale kaale naina', the lyrics of her dance number 'Kajra Re' with Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan from 'Bunty Aur Babli.' He also tagged his 'Khakhee' co-star Aishwarya in the post. The caption read, 'When I and @therealemraan tried to match kaale kaale naina with kaale kaale clothes 😎 #Selfiee @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb'

Emraan too took to social media to share the picture with Akshay by tagging him and wrote, 'Chalo unke saath nahi to unke photo ke saath selfie hi sahi kyun.'

'Selfiee' is reportedly a remake of the 2019 Malayalam comedy Driving Licence which featured Prithviraj Sukumaran as a superstar and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the role of a motor vehicle inspector. It was directed by Lal Jr. Driving License is based on a star who is known for his driving skills but loses his licence. Meanwhile, the Akshay-Emraan starrer is directed by Raj Mehta who had also worked with Akshay on 'Good Newwz.' Besides Akshay and Emraan, the movie also stars Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha as the leading ladies of the film. It has been backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions along with Akshay's Cape of Good Films and Sukumaran's Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on February 24.

Sharing the trailer release date of Selfiee, Akshay had posted, 'Dono ka dil ek hi superstar ke liye dhadakta hai. Gear up for a unique story of a superstar and his superfan #SelfieeTrailer coming out on 22nd January! #Selfiee releasing on 24th February only in cinemas.'
