After a long shoot and delays, Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan's next 'Sarfira' is all set for release. Ahead of its July release, the makers quietly dropped the trailer of the film. The film is a remake of the Tamil film 'Soorarai Pottru' which had won the National Award as well. The film starred Suriya and Aparna Balamurali, both of whom won the National Award for their performances.
In the trailer of the film 'Sarfira', Akshay Kumar is introduced as Vir Mhatre who belongs to a small village in Maharashtra. He dreams big of starting his own low-cost airlines. However, the path to realizing his dream is filled with obstacles including that of caste discrimination. He is undeterred by the constant rejections and sets out to fulfil his dreams at any cost with his wife essayed by Radhika Madan by his side.
Suriya also is seen making a stylish appearance in the trailer of the film. He is seen dressed in a suit and wearing sunglasses and walking on a tarmac.

The film is all set to hit theatres on July 12, 2024. The film also features Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles.

Written by Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi, with dialogues by Pooja Tolani, and a G.V. Prakash Kumar musical, Sarfira is produced by Aruna Bhatia (Cape of Good Films), South superstars Suriya and Jyotika (2D Entertainment) and Vikram Malhotra.
