Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan spills the beans on her friendship with contemporaries Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday as she graces Sit With Hitlist by Mayank Shekhar for Mid-day. The actress had no idea she was related to late superstar Dilip Kumar. Sara also jokes about being served gold with roti at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding in Jamnagar, Gujarat. She goes on to mention how she nearly passed on âAtrangi Re' to Alia Bhatt.
Sara speaks about her formative years in Dhirubhai Ambani school and states how she was the one who initiated friendship with Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday. She says, "I was not like, âOh, our parents have been actors.'"
She was also taken aback to learn about being related to late superstar Dilip Kumar. "I'm the relative of Dilip Kumar. I love it," she gushes.
Sara mentions she is smart multiple times and when asked why, she states, "Dumb is not something that people associate."

Throughout the conversation, Sara mentions âKedarnath', âMurder Mubarak', and âAe Watan Mere Watan'. She answers why she missed the ones in between.
The actress was also a part of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding in Jamnagar, Gujarat. She jokes, "With our roti we were eating gold. Yeah, I swear. And there were diamonds everywhere."
Speaking about getting validation from her mother Amrita Singh for any of her works she says, "The only time I can get my eyes off the screen is if I'm watching it with my mom. Because I'm like, âAre you proud? Are you enjoying it? A good shot?'."
Sara Ali Khan proved her acting mettle with âAtrangi Re' alongside Dhanush and Akshay Kumar. However, she nearly gave away the project to a contemporary. She recalls having a conversation with the makers saying, "Atrangi Re is a very great script. This character is outstanding. Are you sure you don't want to just, like, call Alia?", when asked why she did that, Sara adds, "Because I was very nervous."
The actress emphasises that she is just like any other human being out there who can feel bad but has a heart, has hormones, has emotions and can also be vulnerable. Watch the complete episode on June 22.
