Birthday girl Sanya Malhotra, who started out by auditioning as a contestant on a dance reality show before turning actor, says she's still waiting to perform a full blown dance number in a film since five years.
In a conversation with mid-day.com, Sanya says, "I want to dance on camera, it was my plan B veiled as plan A. I was a dancer who danced professionally; it's something that makes my inner child happy. I know for a fact that I will be very good if I dance in front of the camera. I'm manifesting it and I'm a hundred percent sure I will get it one day."
Speaking of how her family reacts to her being famous she smiles, "I was shooting an ad recently in Delhi and the first time my mom saw me on set was for Dangal. She came in and I was not shooting that day, she just wanted to see how a film set works. She was quite taken aback watching me shooting the ad, she didn't know we have to do so much, 13-14 hours a day in front of the camera. They are proud of it but they don't comprehend a lot of things about my job. My mother keeps telling me I should learn a language and join a French course, she dosen't know that I'm genuinely busy."
Sanya's web film Love Hostel with Vikrant Massey and Bobby Deol releases today.
