The makers may work tirelessly to ensure that details relating to Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana remain a guarded secret, but, every now and then, eager fans are privy to a newly leaked piece of information that piques their curiosity. Now, mid-day has learned that director Nitesh Tiwari has taken over Filmcity to create 12 opulent sets to shoot the mythological tale that sees Kapoor play the role of Lord Ram.
A source says, "These sets are expected to be constructed by mid-August. They are elaborate, but will primarily help aid the film's 3D shooting process. Sets representing Mithila, where Ram and Sita's wedding took place, and Ayodhya, are also being constructed." Starring Sai Pallavi as Sita, the movie also features Yash, who is rumoured to play Ravana, and Arun Govil, who will portray King Dasharath. As of this day, the team has completed shooting the sections relating to the younger years of Ram's life. "The new schedule kicks off at the end of August with the lead actors."
