Rakul Preet Singh is the guest on the third episode of mid-day.com's special series, âFlashback with the stars,' as the actress speaks about being raised in an Army background, transforming from a tomboy to Miss India followed by acting in films, how she ensures she stays grounded, her five upcoming releases, why she decided to talk about her relationship before speculation began and more.
Speaking about how she spends her day offs from her hectic schedule, the actress told mid-day.com, "A normal day in my life would be still doing a lot of things! People around me say âRakul can you stop being a timetable for once!' On that free day I want to do ten things that I wouldn't have the time for otherwise. I would always say to my younger brother, âAman, lets get up at 7am and go for a jog, then we'll have breakfast and go for a movie.' He's always like âWhy are you making a schedule for a free day? Wake up when you have to!' I love to do a lot of things outdoor, whether it's playing golf or watching movies and eating at different places."
The actress adds that like everyone else work slowed down for her during the pandemic and that has been her longest break. "I have to accept that the first lockdown was the first break of my life. I suddenly realized, my longest vacation has been seven days. Suddenly there was a three month wait at home but it was good, the pandemic put a lot of things into perspective, in terms of what really matters in life. It's the wellbeing of loved ones and gratitude for what you have! We are blessed to have a home and food. There were so many people struggling that I don't think anything that we thought wasn't going our way stood ground in front of what they were facing."
