Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai: What could make this film deliver bang for your bucks!

The Coronavirus pandemic has severely crippled the functioning of the Hindi film industry. Some of the most anticipated films were directly streamed on the digital platform and many continue to await their release. The wait ends for one of them tomorrow on Eid and it's expectedly a Salman Khan potboiler. Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai was slated for an Eid 2020 release and supposed to take on another juggernaut, the Akshay Kumar-Laxmii. Fate had other plans and this Prrabhudeva directorial becomes the first Hindi film to stream simultaneously on ZeePlex pay-per-view and release on selected cinema halls across the world.

The viewing experience is expectedly going to be drastic and different, no one would get to listen to the catcalls and the catharsis that follows. At best, one can whistle in his living room or bedroom while Bhai makes his heroic entry coupled with a swelling background score. The entertainment that promises to lie ahead cannot be denied. Here's why:

The Leading Man

Salman Khan and Eid is a Twain made in heaven and blessed by the box office. The first union happened in 2009 with Wanted, also directed by Deva. Barring few misfires, the track record is both impressive and enviable. Hope the legacy lives on, since the fans are barely bothered with what happens around Bhai when all they want to see is Bhai.

The Antagonist

Randeep Hooda is one of the most charismatic actors in the industry. The rugged persona and magnetic aura suit the characters he portrays in his films. This time, the makers have looked to Korea for inspiration so the villain has been styled in western suits and given a Man Bun. Hooda has all the opportunities to seize his moment of glory and play to the gallery.

The Leading Lady

Disha Patani commands a massive following on social media. Her oomph and dance moves always garner more views that a movie trailer. Over the years, with her perfect Instagram posts, she has established a legitimate fan-base and quite a few eyeballs can be expected only for her.

The End of the drought

It has been a while since fans saw a big-ticket, event film. At best, Mumbai Saga and Roohi attracted a few footfalls and ensured there's at least a drizzle on a barren land. The second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic has led to another drought and Radhe could be like rain in the desert. It may be opening in selected cinemas and simultaneously premiering on OTT, the drought ends, albeit for a short time.
