South film industry sensation, Raai Laxmi has 49 films to her credit down south. The actress wanted her 50th film to be extremely special, as it is a landmark in every actor's life and when she got a Bollywood offer, she was over the moon for her 50th film to be a heroine-centered film, 'Julie 2'. "The only fear I had is about debuting with a heroine-centric film in Bollywood. I had the perception that as my first film would it be a right for me being there because as a newcomer, 'Julie 2' has a lot of glamour, has a bold approach to the film. That's how the trailer has also been presented," told Raai Laxmi.

Talking more about the film, she tells mid-day, "This film has more than what you see as the erotic side to it. Once the script narration was done, all my fears and doubts were cleared. The only thought I had was that should I take the risk of coming with a heroine-oriented film as my first film, this is a new industry for me."
When we questioned the 'Julie 2' actress, if she's feared of being typecast, she told us, "I don't want people to think that if something works for her then we should offer her the same. I want 'Julie 2' to be remembered and the most special film to me in my career and I don't want to do something similar like I've done in 'Julie 2'. You stand out when you play such bold roles. Again, it depends on me if I want to do something like that. It's not a fear, it's something that I want to break it."

Ask her if she's received any other offers from Bollywood, the actress quips with joy, "I have heard 3-4 scripts of the similar genre. Obviously, if the story is on the same line then you tend to portray similar roles. I understand that people typecast you when you play such bold roles."
'Julie 2', a story about the actresses lives behind the glamorous world, has already hit the theatres on Friday, November 24.
