Looks like there's no stopping Shah Rukh Khan's high-octane spy thriller 'Pathaan'. After crossing the 100 crore mark worldwide on day 1 'Pathaan' will only see a boost in the following days. On day 2, which was a national holiday due to Republic Day, the film touched nearly Rs. 70 crore in India. The Hindi version of the film earned Rs. 68 crore on second day of release.
For the unversed, Siddharth Anand's directorial, 'Pathaan' was released in theatres on January 25, 2023. The movie which is headlined by Shah Rukh Khan also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles. The movie which marked Shah Rukh Khan's stellar comeback after four long years, 'Pathaan' is now celebrated as the 'biggest opener' of Bollywood.
Released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across the country, 'Pathaan' reportedly collected over Rs. 57 crores in India on its first day. The film has grossed a total of 97.17 crores, or $12 million, at the box office (worldwide).
Starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan as R&AW agent, 'Pathaan' has minted over Rs. 70 crores on Republic Day i.e on day 2 of its release. The James Bond-like spy thriller also features a 20-minute cameo of Salman Khan.

Sharing the update on day 2 collection, Taran Adarsh wrote, "ALL #BO RECORDS DEMOLISHED⦠#Pathaan creates HISTORY on Day 2 as well⦠FIRST #Hindi film to near â¹ 70 cr on a 'single day'⦠Wed 55 cr, Thu 68 cr [#RepublicDay]. Total: â¹ 123 cr. #Hindi version. #India biz. UNIMAGINABLE. UNPRECEDENTED. UNSTOPPABLE."
On Thursday night, popular trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared the day 2 collections at three major national chains including INOX, Cinepolis and PVR. "#Pathaan at national chains⦠Day 2⦠Update: 10.10 pm. #PVR: 13.75 cr #INOX: 11.65 cr #Cinepolis 6.20 cr Total: â¹ 31.60 cr UNSTOPPABLE. Note: #Pathaan entire Day 1 at national chains was â¹ 27.08 cr," wrote Taran on Twitter.
The day 3 box office collection of SRK's blockbuster movie is anticipated to gross over 60 crores in total.
