Kangana Ranaut has been doing night shifts continuously for Dhaakad. She shared her look from the set and wrote, "14 hours of night shift for 10 days... bring it on." Kangy has been shooting for Razneesh Ghai's thriller in Sarni, Madhya Pradesh, amid protests from a certain section of locals. They are demanding an apology from the actor for her tweets against the farmers' agitation.
Kangana Ranaut has announced she will star in the second installment of the Manikarnika franchise, titled Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda. After Dhaakad, she has Thalaivi and Tejas.
Thalaivi is a biopic of late Tamil politician J. Jayalalithaa. The bilingual film will trace the journey of the late leader from silver screen to politics. It is directed by AL Vijay, and also stars Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Madhoo and Bhagyashree.
Dhaakad, which is touted to be a world-class spy thriller, is directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai and Kangana will be seen playing the role of an officer in the movie. The film, which is based on serious issues like child trafficking and crimes against women, will also star Divya Dutta and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles.

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut will be seen portraying the role of an IAF pilot in Tejas. The IAF was the first of the armed forces in the country to induct women in combat roles in 2016. The film takes inspiration from this landmark event. Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara and bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala, the film is scheduled to release in April 2021.
