Imran Khan
Actor Imran Khan recently made headlines when he put across a challenge to the netizens asking for 1 million likes on a comment to make him comeback to the movies. The actor was last seen on the big screen in the film 'Katti Batti' with Kangana Ranaut in the year 2015. The actor is most known or 'Jaane Tu ...Ya Jaane Na', his debut as a lead actor in 2008.
In an unconventional move, Imran Khan took to Threads to provide his loyal fan base with an update on his return to the silver screen. Sharing his thoughts on Threads, he wrote, "To whom it may concern; I hear you. And I'm working on it. Thank you for being so patient with me." The occasion also saw a playful comment from a fan, expressing a desire for a sequel to "Luck." Imran quipped, "I guess that's what I get for posting on Threads."
Days after this, a content creator on Instagram made a reel explaining how Imran Khan needed validation through likes on his comment to make a comeback than realise the impact of his movies on the audience. The creator spoke about films like 'I Hate Love Stories' , 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na' and 'Ek main Aur Ek Tu' in the video. Imran Khan, who noticed the post, gave his clarification under the comment section.
"The truth is, it was never about a million likes. I picked the number because it seemed unattainable, and since it would never happen anyway, I could just quietly retreat again, no questions asked. I didn't count on all of you picking it up and carrying it forward⦠After all this time, I didn't think anyone would still care enough to reach out and tell me they believe in me. Your love humbles me," he wrote.

Under the same post, a user commented. "1 million likes if y'all want Imraan Khan to return your money if you paid to watch Kidnap and Luck".
Responding to the comment, Khan revealed that he himself has not received the final payment for the film 'Kidnap'. "That money actually goes to the theatre owners first, then to the producers...as it happens, they never cleared my final payment on that film, so maybe we can all take the issue up with them?'
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Imran revisited his film 'Luck' sharing old pictures from the sets of the film. The film that was released in 2009 also starred Shruti Haasan, Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa, Ravi Kishan and others. "Speaking of Luck... I found these old pictures, and thought they would be interesting to share. Yes, that's real fire. The umbrella helped with the sun, but not the flames. My eyelashes actually got burned off during a take, when an explosion went off too close in front of me. And yes, that's also really me strapped to the outside of a flying Cessna."
