Neetu Kapoor and Jaya Bachchan
The latest episode of Koffee With Karan gave us a deeper insight into the lives of Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman as actresses and as individuals. They also spoke about their relationship with their contemporaries like Rekha, Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan. They were also asked about the paparazzi culture, which did not exist back then, or had a different form.
Show host Karan Johar asked the two veterans about letters written in blood back then, and how fan behaviour has changed over the years. Zeenat revealed that there was a separate person altogether to deal with the fan mail because the volume was enormous. "But no one can have that now because now we have the troll... the fans were the good part back then, right now we don't know what they are willing to do," Karan observed.
"The stars were stars, they were not seen," Zeenat said. Neetu added, "There was some kind of a mystery that we all had, today it's all over the place... There's a separate look for the airport, you have to now dress up for the airport. I don't do that, but other people."
Karan also mentioned that Neetu has a great relationship with the paparazzi, as opposed to Jaya Bachchan, who doesn't like her privacy being invaded. "I think you're the only one, opposite of Jaya aunty, who has full-fledged conversations with the paps."

"I feel Jaya ji does it on purpose," Neetu quipped. "Ek baar ho gaya na, now she just does it. She is not like that. She is so lovely."
"But they get so scared of her, because she enters and she says, 'Bas ho gaya' and then leaves. I think they are also enjoying it," Karan said. "They enjoy, she enjoys, so I think it's all 'mili-bhagat'," Neetu opined.
Videos of Jaya Bachchan scolding the paparazzi for screaming her name and asking her to pose for photos in public places have often gone viral, establishing her as this strict person who doesn't like being clicked. During a conversation with Mid-day, Karan Johar had said that she doesn't dislike the media, she is averse to her privacy being invaded.
