Veteran actor Neena Gupta celebrates her birthday on June 4. Making her mother feel special on her birthday, fashion designer Masaba Gupta took to Instagram and shared an adorable post. "Everybody wish my mom a very happy birthday @neena_gupta simply the best," wrote Masaba. The post included rare and unseen pictures of Neena including the one with her birthday cake.
Neena Gupta and former West Indies player Vivian Alexander Richards had Masaba out of wedlock and have lived separately throughout their life. Neena welcomed her daughter Masaba on November 2, 1989. She raised her alone. In 2008, Neena got married to chartered accountant Vivek Mehra.

In April, Neena Gupta revealed that she will be a grandmother after Masaba and her husband Satyadeep Misra shared that they're expecting their first child. "Humare bacchon ka baccha aane Wala hai. Isse zyada Khushi ki baat Kya ho sakti hai," Neena wrote on Instagram.
Neena Gupta has been a part of Indian cinema for over four decades. She made her debut with 'Adharshila' in 1982, and since then she never looked back.
The veteran star had even bagged the National Award for 'Woh Chokri' in 1994. However, it was the TV series 'Saans' that made her a household name.
In 2017, she shocked everyone when she announced that she was out of work. Post that revelation, Neena, bagged movies like 'Veere Di Wedding' and 'Badhaai Ho'. She was recently seen in 'Sardar ka Grandson' and 'Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar'.
She has also come up with her autobiography 'Sach Kahun Toh'.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Neena is back with her role of Manju Devi in the third season of 'Panchayat'. Written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, 'Panchayat' traces the life of a young man from Delhi who joins as a secretary in a Panchayat office in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh.
Discussing the arc of Manju Devi, Deepak Kumar said that the character has evolved over the seasons. " Earlier, she was least involved in village politics but now she is aggressively getting involved in the politics. Her character has shown a growth towards the political front," Deepak Kumar shared.
Besides Neena Gupta, Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Biswapati Sarkar, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik also star in the show.
