Narayan Murthy and Kareena Kapoor Khan
An old video of Infosys founder Narayan Murthy speaking about Kareena Kapoor Khan ignoring fans during a flight has resurfaced and is going viral on social media. The businessman was speaking at IIT-Kanpur when he shared this anecdote and voiced his surprise at Kapoor not acknowledging her admirers. His wife and author Sudha Murthy was also present at the event and was seen defending Kareena.
At the event, Narayan Murthy spoke in details about the incident. "The other day I was coming from London, and next to me was Kareena Kapoor, sitting in her seat. So many people came to her and said hello. She didn't even bother to react," he said.
"I was a little bit surprised. Whoever came to me, I stood up, and we discussed for a minute or half a minute-that's all they were expecting," Mr Narayana Murthy added. As Mr Murthy narrated the incident and voiced his surprise, Sudha Murthy interrupted him and said, "She has a million admirers. She must have been tired."
"Murthy, a founder, a software person, will have maybe 10,000 (fans), but a film actor will get a million," Sudha Murthy added. Her statement was welcomed by the audience with a loud applause and laughter.
