The excitement around the Lollapalooza festival is real. This music festival is all about bringing different genres under one roof, from rock to hip-hop to EDM. It's like a big melting pot of musical goodness that has turned into an annual pilgrimage for anyone who lives and breathes music.
The tickets for the festival had gone live back in August, with no lineup in sight, and the one question that was on everyone's mind was, 'Will the lineup be worth it?' It was, after all, a massive leap of faith considering the starting price of early bird tickets, which are usually cheaper, were selling for over 8,000 rupees.
Today, November 17, the lineup is finally out. Let's take a look at the artists who will be gracing Mumbai with their presence.
Co-produced by Bookmyshow Live, Lollapalooza India headliners, are none other than Sting, the Jonas Brothers, Halsey, One Republic, Keane, and Lauv! The excitement is so real.
The other talented artists gracing the stages are: Jungle, Royal Blood, Upgmafia, Meduza, Mala, Caribou, The Rose, Eric Nam, Anoushka Shankar, Fatoumata Diawara, Kenny Beats, The Raghu Dixit Project, When Chai Met Toast, The Karan Kanchan Experience, Parvaaz, Prabh Deep, Dualist Inquiry, Garden City Movement, Komorebi, Parekh & Singh, Skrat, Kamakshi Khanna, Ubabe, CHRMS, Dewdrops, Shashwat Bulusu, Jatayu, Monophonik, Sublime Sound, Stalvart John, Long Distances, and Megan Murray.

The response at the moment seems to be mixed. Many are complaining that the lineup doesn't feature too many big names, while the other half of the audience is standing by the line-up, bubbling with excitement to discover new artists and talents.
One user stated, "Okay this lineup isn't half bad at all. Now I can be hyped. Caribou, Jpegmafia, Sting, Keane, and so many new artists to discover. Brilliant."
Another user commented, "Solid stuff. The curation of Indian artists in this lineup is stellar. Great job upping the ante, team Lolla"
One comment read, "This is actually a nice lineup. Idc what anybody says (sic.)"
While the reception has been mixed so far, it does not take away from the fact that, despite the criticism, the passes have all been selling like hotcakes.
