Kriti Sanon/Raj Patil
Kriti Sanon, who turns 33 on July 27, featured as a guest on mid-day.com's special series 'Mumbai Meri Jaan.' The Delhi girl, who has turned Mumbaikar now, spoke about how she went from golgappa to pani puri.
Kriti said, "Sometimes when I can sneak out I go to Carter Road and Bandstand. I love sitting there while hearing the sound of waves and looking at the sea, whenever I can. A lot of eating joints have much more variety here. I love Delhi's food and there's no comparison but there's more variety and you can go out a lot more here. Restaurants are manageable when you go with your set of people, that's my roaming around in Mumbai."
She adds that Mumbai's lingo has seeped into her vocabulary now. "It's very rarely that I take an autorickshaw with a friend and go out for pani puri. I used to call it golgappa now I've started calling it pani puri. I've become half a Mumbaikar already."

"Industry is not so much responsible for nepotism...": Kriti Sanon at IFFI
Kriti came to Mumbai to pursue a career in films and says that she learnt her craft on the job, in the city. "I had no schooling, workshops or theatre background. I didn't do anything before entering the industry. I didn't even think of becoming an actor. I was an engineer, then went into modelling and suddenly came into acting. From my mark, to facing the camera and understanding how things work on set, understanding camerawork and even a bit of the director's mind and how editing is going to be. I had to even understand how much the camera captures because it's no as visible as you think. My method, acting process, what works for me and what does not, my favoured profile and everything else is what I learnt on the job."
