Initially overshadowed by his elder brother, the celebrated actor Ashok Kumar, Kishore gradually carved his own niche, debuting in Shikari (1946) as a singer. His breakthrough as an actor came with films like 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi' (1958) and 'Padosan' (1968), showcasing his brilliant comedic timing.
