Key Highlights

During the latest episode of Mid-day's Sit With Hitlist series of conversations, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up on many topics, ranging from nepotism to the adorable relationship she shares with husband Saif Ali Khan.

The happily married couple has starred together in many films like Tashan, Agent Vinod, Kurbaan, and many more. However, none of them really clicked with the audience. However, Kareena said she thinks Tashan is not all bad. "I think Tashan is a very cool… It is the songs, the characters, amazingly cult, you know," she said.

Kareena didn't hold back on her desire to work with Saif again, emphasising his versatility as an actor. She said, "Because he is an artist, he will do a 'Laal Kaptaan' and play a different part in his time."

Will Kareena and Saif pair up for another movie anytime soon? "I want to work with him. I tell him even that. He is like, 'Listen, in a film, I need to be the best. If I am working with someone that I love, I don't know how it's going to go. Because I love you so much, I want you to be the best," she added.

The discussion then shifted to the topic of on-screen chemistry, and whether real-life couples are able to recreate the romance on screen. Kareena explained, "I mean, there is definitely some sort of chemistry if you are making a romantic film; there are two people who kind of don't know each other and meet on the set, and you have that slight uncomfortableness, and then you start liking each other, maybe disliking maybe, so you capture those moments."

However, she emphasised that acting is about playing characters convincingly. "You don't play yourself anyway," she pointed out. Kareena further elaborated that chemistry on screen isn't solely dependent on personal relationships. "You liked Shahid and me on screen in Jab We Met because of Geet and Aditya's characters. Not because of anything else. It was the character that you fell in love with. It's about what is written and how you do it. So, chemistry is also in the way it is written."
